Get involved in showjumping

You don't have to be in the saddle to get involved in showjumping. As well as spectating, there are opportunities for training so you can help run affiliated events - it's a great way of adding another string to your equestrian bow as well as getting up close to all the arena action.

In addition to the opportunities to take up a more formal role, volunteers are also welcome – lend a hand at your local show and you’ll get to enjoy a good day out with the thrill of showjumping and the chance to meet plenty of other enthusiasts too.

How can I get involved in British Showjumping?

How do you fancy becoming a judge, course builder or show official? British Showjumping offers training to anyone looking to be more involved in their sport.

There is a clear structure for training and progression, working alongside experienced officials before getting the opportunity to go solo. In order to be considered for training please contact Iain Graham on Tel. 0247 669 8901.

Get hands on

Showjumping depends on people who are prepared to get stuck in. Without the help of volunteers, competitions would struggle to run. If you can spare a bit of time and want to get closer to the action, offer your services to your local show organiser. Simply look up the show centres nearest you for the contact information you need.

Give your support

Alternatively, you can join British Showjumping Supporters' Club. For only £29 per year you can stay in touch with all the latest team news via a monthly e-newsletter as well through British Showjumping magazine. You'll also receive a free British Showjumping baseball hat, car sticker and pen and benefit from Public Liability Insurance for up to £30million for any horse you own, ride or look after.
